Raytheon’s Strike Initiatives is currently hiring a Software Performance IPTL (Sr. Principal, Software Engineering) for its StormBreaker Program lot integration and test activities. As the technical lead for software coordination and qualification events, you will be at the forefront of supporting a timely transition to production for updated weapon configurations. This position is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.
What You will Do
Coordinate and lead major efforts for Factory Software Development and Qualification of Software (tactical and system reprogramming builds)Facilitate working groups with customer stakeholders for plan execution and mitigation of risks/opportunitiesMonthly CAM tasking to maintain schedule and ETC up to date and explanations of variancesMitigate risk and identify opportunitiesPrepare and present material for weekly program meetings and major reviews (Integration and Verification Working Groups, Program Management Reviews, Functional Configuration Audit, etc.)Identify scope gaps and support program leadership to secure required fundingSupport system performance analysis, simulation and software verification Update, maintain, and improve requirements and technical documentation for development and production efforts Participate in Failure Investigations Coordinate across StormBreaker portfolio to facilitate knowledge transfer within and across IPTs/CPTsGuide and influence critical projects and teamsMentor earlier in career engineersQualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experienceExperience in at least 1 of the following areas:Software development, integration, and qualification Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS) development, integration, verification, and/or validation GNC and/or Signal Processing algorithm design, development, verification, and/or validation Systems Engineering architecture, requirements development, and/or verification Experience leading multidisciplinary teams Experience taking systems into flight testing Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start.Qualifications We Prefer
Advanced degree in STEM Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management to identify issues and develop recommended courses of action to management Experience as a subject matter expert in technical briefs / presentations, proposals, performing trade studies to optimize system performance Champion all of RTX valuesUnderstanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle Familiarity with system safety, reliability, configuration management, and evaluating / mitigating technical risksWhat We Offer

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
