Job Description

Your contribution to something big:

As a Software License Governance Expert, you will play a key role in ensuring Bosch Home Comfort's software products meet open-source and third-party license compliance. By contributing to robust governance frameworks, you will help drive responsible innovation across our global development teams.

Your tasks will include:

Reviewing and evaluating open-source and third-party software components in our products based on established compliance guidelines.Collaborating and negotiating with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and legal departments.Enhancing governance processes around software evaluation, approval workflows, and license risk management.Participating in global expert networks to share best practices and stay ahead of regulatory and license trends.Reporting critical issues and deviations to upper management with clarity and recommended actions.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you: 

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Experience

5+ years of professional experience in software development or engineering roles.Previous experience in roles such as Product Owner, Project Manager, or Compliance Specialist is a plus.

Know-how

Strong understanding of open-source licenses (e.g., MIT, GPL, Apache) and third-party software policies.Familiarity with software compliance tools and approval processes.Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and integration of license checks.

Languages

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Working Style and Methods

Methodical, detail-oriented, with strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Personality

Strong communicator and team player with the ability to influence and advise multiple stakeholders.Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
