Software Group Leader Wafer flow

We are seeking a talented Group Team Leader to enhance our software development organization and lead the Wafer Flow Software group. Role and Responsibilities

Your mission in this role is to build and lead a strong team of software developers to develop and reliably deliver embedded control software for the wafer stage and wafer handler of our Yieldstar and Multibeam (MBI) metrology equipment. You will align with program management on the contents and staffing of activities within your scope, stimulate and facilitate the personal development of group members, and co-own the function roadmap. This role involves paving the way for our future products while improving the quality and structure of our software to reduce costs and improve time to market. As the manager of the group, you will lead and manage a team of software developers responsible for the software that controls Yieldstar and MBI metrology equipment components. You will oversee the daily operations of the group, define the vision and roadmap, and execute it accordingly. You will safeguard our quality standards for all software deliveries to our customers and serve as the escalation channel for issues.

The Group/Team Leader:

Leads a group of 20-25 people; hires, develops, coaches, and instructs members; defines and assigns targets; evaluates priorities; solves problems; monitors budgets; and organizes a strong customer focus to achieve the responsiveness and reliability needed for business expansion.

Co-drives the function roadmap and its execution.

Optimizes software development processes for quality and time to market.

Ensures the availability and adoption of best-known methods, standards, and tooling.

In cooperation with department managers and project managers, plans and allocates group members to various project activities.

Manages CapEx and OpEx according to agreed budgets, including farmout.

Ensures the group maintains a balanced focus on providing long- and short-term solutions.

Manages interaction and stakeholder relationships with diverse and relevant parties (multidisciplinary D&E groups, Holistic Applications, CS, and customers).

Contributes to the definition and implementation of departmental policy and planning, including personnel, budgets, investments, resources, and methods.

Facilitates an effective learning feedback cycle and manages relationships with other competence owners within and outside ASML.

Education and Experience

Master’s or PhD degree in Software Engineering, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, or Engineering, with a background in software development in a technical environment.

At least 3 years of relevant people leadership experience in a technical software development environment or related field.

At least 5 years of experience in developing, integrating, and testing complex multi-disciplinary software products.

Skills
