Position Purpose/Summary Provides ownership of Test Strategy & Product Quality across the Product Life Cycle for Single or Multiple products in Vertical Solutions **Key Areas of Responsibility** Technical & Functional 1. Gets involved in Requirement reviews to ensure completeness of Deployment scenarios, Use cases & Testability aspects of Functional & Non-Functional requirements using his/her Domain, Product & Functional Test knowledge 2. Works with the System Architect to mitigate the architectural risks of the program in early phases & participates in design reviews to identify failure modes 3. Develops Test Strategy to validate the Functional, Non-Functional & System level requirements 4. Derives Regression Test Strategy based on Impact Analysis of fixed defects 5. Prepares Test Strategy for 3rd party integrations & dependant OS, browser, database compatibility tests 6. Develops the Test effort estimates & works together with the Project Lead to do Test Planning 7. Develops Test Design for critical modules of the products and supports the Test Engineers in Test Design reviews 8. Critical reviewer of the Developer Integration test cases and key person in the Test Turnover meetings 9. Works with the Productivity Enablers Team to identify Test Automation & Simulation requirements early in the life cycle & support in execution of the same 10. Works with the Program Manager & Product Manager or Product Owner to identify Beta Site requirements & supports in defect prioritization & release readiness reviews along with the Project Lead 11. Works with the Information Development team to give pointers on Technical Literature content development and is a critical reviewer of the same 12. Provide debug support to Development Team to identify root causes of defects 13. Business Acumen 14. Participates in Observation Voice of Customer (OVoC) and in Concept reviews in early phases of Product Development Life Cycle as needed 15. Stays up to date with happenings in the Industry & Competition space of the relevant business verticals Education / Qualifications 1. Bachelor or Masters of Engineering in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical Experience 1. Should have hands on experience in installing, commissioning ,maintenance of Building management/HVAC systems. Also should have used commissioning software tools to commission Commercial Security Systems. 2. Should have hands on experience with Tridium Niagara platform 3. Tridium Niagara Technical Certification Program (TCP) certified would be an added advantage 4. Should have hands on experience with BACnet, MODBUS protocols. 5. Minimum of 5 years field experience in project engineering or installation & commissioning in relevant industry space 6. Atleast 2 years experience in Product Testing Senior Engineer role 7. Strong domain & product knowledge in relevant industry space 8. Strong knowledge & experience in Networks, Non-Functional Testing aspects like Performance & Capacity testing would be preferred 9. Good knowledge of Microsoft OS & Databases 10. Good analytical thinking, troubleshooting & problem solving skills, coupled with the drive to learn Professional Skills / Knowledge 1. Good communication skills, both verbal and written 2. Self-motivated and the ability to work independently without supervision and sometimes under extreme pressure 3. Prepared to work overtime as per project or business needs prepared to travel domestic or overseas as needed 4. Ability to work together with different functional & delivery teams 5. Demonstrates Influencing skills to articulate independent Product Quality view 6.
