Leidos is seeking various levels of Software Engineers in Gaithersburg, MD for its Air Traffic Management projects to include Federal Aviation Administration and international clients. Successful candidates will be responsible with all phases of software development ranging from: design and coding to integrating and reviewing software components, from testing and bug fixing to documentation, building and presenting demos to stakeholders.

Areas of Responsibility:
Analyze system requirements and create detailed software requirements specifications for implementation in various software development phasesDeveloping software in Java/J2EE in an agile environmentConduct testing and validation of software components, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure reliability and functionalityParticipate in design reviews, code reviews, and other team activities to provide technical expertise and ensure alignment with project goalsStay current with industry trends and advancements, contributing insights and recommendations for continuous improvementSupport troubleshooting efforts and provide technical assistance to resolve software-related issues during development and post-production phasesDocument software designs, specifications, and test procedures to maintain comprehensive records and facilitate knowledge sharing within the teamCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to implement software solutions that meet system specifications and performance criteriaRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or Electronics & Electrical /Telecommunications Engineering with a strong software background.Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearanceU.S. CitizenObject Oriented ProgrammingC and C++ programming languagesReal-Time Programming on High Availability SystemsMulti-threaded programmingLow Level Operating Systems (OS) Customization (RedHat), Hypervisors, and VMsCAS / Hardware IntegrationLow level communication software (TCP-IP, UDP, SCTP)System Maintenance ConceptsPreferred Qualifications:

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
