Software Engineering Manager - Industrial Systems
About the role:We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow the software engineering team. This position requires a technical background and depth of leadership skills with a balance of People Leadership and Thought/Strategy Leadership.You will report to the Director of Engineering.  This position will provide develop and execute strategy for Control Systems design, development, and research.  You will provide direction, support, and guide design efforts for the team and the role includes a spectrum of software functional expertise required for modern industrial control systems. What will you do:Provide develop and execute strategy for Control Systems design, development, and researchProvide direction, support, and guide design efforts for an international Controls teamDevelopment of member capabilities; aligning company strategy and member careers by:Utilization the talent management systemCompleting review process and salary planningDeveloping, maintaining and executing of training matrixSupporting staffing of the group to meet business demands and objectivesDevelop and execute engineering best practices, processes, standards, and work instructionsResponsible for team member development to enhance technical skills and development efficienciesAssign resources as required to product development teamsSupport and drive new product development projects planning and executionDrive robust design culture through continuous systemic improvement initiativesSupport root cause determination and/or corrective action for quality, field, or manufacturing issuesDevelop budget to support annual planning activities and manage approved budget within constraintsWhat will you need:Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from Technical University7+ years of engineering experience in software development incl. customer tools and online UX areaKnowledge of C/C++, Python, and other common industrial software languagesExcellent people, time management, and strong leadership skillsSolid knowledge of the software product life cycle, especially related key deliverablesHighly refined communication and presentation skillsExcellent technical savvy and ability to reach consensus on technical directionGood strategic thinking skills (specifically relating to the corporate strategic planning and execution)Previous team management / leadership experience desiredAbility to coach, mentor, and motivate individuals to perform beyond their comfort zoneExperience working with mid to large international teams on development projectsFluent English and Polish language skills, written and spokenWhat will you gain:Salary range from 18 000 to 28 000 PLN gross ( however there might be some flexibility for candidates with very relevant experience)Private health insurance, life and accident insuranceMyBenefit/Multikafeteria packageParticipate in the company performance bonus programPPK payment account up to 4% of your compensation, depending on seniorityHybrid work modelEmployee Benefit FundMeal vouchersRelocation and educational supportExperienced team and professional developmentWoodward is a multinational company with leading edge technology, headquartered in US, Fort Collins, CO.  We are an independent designer, manufacturer, and service provider of energy control and optimization solutions for commercial and military aircraft, industrial gas turbines, reciprocating engines, and electrical power system equipment.  Global customers in the aerospace, power and process industries and transportation markets rely on Woodward technology to make their equipment more efficient and reliable minimizing environmental impact.
