Software Engineering Internship: Development of Excel Automation Tools for Electrical Compliance
Introduction

This internship in our Electronics Development department offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of Microsoft Excel-based automation tools used for electrical compliance evaluation of ASML EUV machines. The assignment involves troubleshooting, maintaining, streamlining, and enhancing existing tools to support both current and future electrical infrastructure compliance assessments.

Your assignment

During this internship, your main responsibilities will be:

Collaborate with engineers to understand the electrical compliance requirements.Maintain and improve the existing Excel-based automation tool.Create a user manual, conduct user experience demos and gather feedback to ensure effective adoption.Finalize and document workflows.Develop modular features based on evolving safety standards.Expand the functionality to:Support the creation of dynamic design concepts based on multiple input scenarios.Deliver trade-off tables that facilitate informed decision-making and concept evaluation.
 Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

Are pursuing an MBO (vocational), bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, or a related field.Have experience with Microsoft Visio, Excel, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).Have strong analytical and communication skills.Have the ability to independently own and develop software solutions.Have the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative technical environment.

This is a vocational/bachelor/master internship for minimum 3-6 months, 4-5 days per week. The start date of this internship is as of February 2026.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
