The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking talented Software Engineering Interns to join our team in Dulles, VA for Summer 2026! We enable national security missions through creation and delivery of innovative, technology-centric solutions that provide decision advantage to our customers. Our client engagement processes, the way we collaborate, operate and deliver value, provides an unparalleled opportunity to grow and advance. The internship will begin in May and last 12 weeks. You will be required to work 100% on-site.


Responsibilities:

Assist in coding, testing, and debugging new software or making enhancements to existing software and suggest solutions for problems or software enhancementsAssist with reviews of schematics and integration to a new embedded design Work with a team of embedded software engineers to develop code for microcontrollers within the ARM Cortex family of devices Use GCC and ARM make tools and JLink hardware debuggersAssist with interfacing with peripherals over I2C, UART, SPI, PWMAssist with sensors like orientation, temperature, light and control hardware like servos or motorsProfile, analyze, and optimize the softwareEmploy best practices for design, development, unit testing and test plan development and develop software user manualsParticipate in team meetings, including daily standups and Scrum meetings

 


Qualifications:

Required: 

Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering or related fieldMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureMust be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearanceFamiliarity with programming languages such as, C/C++, Python, RustFamiliarity with hardware or software tools at an appropriate academic level



Desired:

Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred but not requiredPrevious internship/co-op or other work experienceParticipation in professional/community/extracurricular activities

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$45,900 - $91,900
