Join the YieldStar team at ASML, where we develop high-precision optical metrology tools used in semiconductor manufacturing. Log analysis plays a key role in diagnosing machine behavior across different operational phases. This internship focuses on enhancing a log analysis tool based on Tracy, an open-source Visual Studio Code extension developed by TNO. You will help improve its stability, expand its capabilities, and collaborate with TNO to contribute back to the open-source community.
In this non-thesis bachelor internship, you will work on improving a C# version of Tracy, which adds conditional color coding to log files. Earlier versions of the tool have shown promise but require further development and testing. You will gather user feedback, refine the tool’s functionality, and help prepare it for open-source release.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Analyze the current tool and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and define requirements.
Enhance the tool’s stability and expand its feature set.
Align the C# version with Tracy’s original TypeScript implementation.
Prepare the tool for contribution to the open-source community.
Work closely with TNO to ensure compatibility and shared goals.
Document the development process and user guidelines.
This is a vocational/HBO/WO bachelor internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 5 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of February 2026.
