Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with experience in customizing enterprise software applications for engineering research and development organizations, specifically focusing on Teamcenter PLMS customization. The role involves developing processes and procedures for using, expanding, and enhancing the current enterprise system as a fully integrated PLM tool. Approximately 30-50% of the time will be dedicated to software development and coding for customizing tools and functionality, particularly in areas such as CAD file management and document management, including part creation, change control, and assembly integration.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with team partners and subcontractors to enable access and exchange of files and documents while ensuring IT security, user authentication, and data integrity.Develop and implement new PLM workflows, custom handlers, configuration classifications, functionality, and capabilities within the system.Maintain and monitor system Development, Integration, Quality Assurance, and Production environments.Evaluate and coordinate upgrades, including performing installations with remote support from OEM or third-party service organizations.Manage functionality and data models, identify gaps, and manage customizations.Support migration to advanced AI/ML models for data modeling.Work with PLM supplier/OEM on unresolved technical issues.Ensure creation of fully functional and detailed training manuals for both users and system administrators.Participate in Configuration Control Board meetings.Essential SkillsExperience customizing Teamcenter software for engineering workspaces and companies.Programming and coding in multiple languages including C/C++, scripting languages (PowerShell, Perl, Python).Experience with AI/ML for data processing, trending, storage, and optimization.Experience with Cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).Solid knowledge of Teamcenter PLM and experience managing a PLM environment.BMIDE programming experience required for configuration classifications.Experience in configuration management, change control, and document management using a PLM.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline from an accredited university or college.Five to ten years of experience in a related role in management of computer or IT systems.Knowledge of CAD (NX or other 3D), IT infrastructure (servers, storage, remote backups, security), product data management tools, and project lifecycle management tools.Ability to write basic scripts in batch files for Teamcenter.Exposure to AI/ML data science models and their applications in data trending, storage, and processing.Experience with ITK and Visual Studio.Work Environment
This position operates within an office environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $59.00 - $72.00/hr.
