This position, located in Huntsville, AL, plays a critical role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives.
C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a vital component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
This position is for a Software Engineer on the C2BMC program. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing Java software for one of the Regional Applications teams in Huntsville, AL (Battle Management, System-Arch, or Track Server). Under guidance, provides specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines, along with a general understanding of related fields, application implications, and customer needs.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and providing technical support for systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user supportMaintains up-to-date knowledge, debugs, and configures related software productsWorks from specifications to develop or modify operating system applicationsAssists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programsCoordinates with other systems support groups to resolve issues, establish standards, and enhance overall system efficiencyDesigns, codes, tests, and implements tools for automation of operationsParticipates in most phases of software systems programming applications and may require minor guidance in additional phasesBasic Qualifications:

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
