As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Develop and implement user interface components for web applications.Build performance optimized UICollaborate effectively with UX/UI designers and developers to ensure technical feasibility of designs.Communicate design ideas and prototypes clearly to stakeholders.Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.Troubleshoot and resolve cross-browser compatibility issues.Stay updated with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to improve the user experience.Adapt quickly to new technologies and frameworks as required by project demands
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Proven experience as a UI Developer or similar role.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS.Familiarity with responsive design principles and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation).Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.Strong understanding of web standards and best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to articulate design concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
