As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within Consumer Community Banking - Digital Authentication, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activitiesSets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaborationAnticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirementsManages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirementsCreates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceIn-depth expertise of component based architecture using React JS, enhancing code quality with TypeScript, closures and asynchronous programming using JavaScript, and building scalable, server-side applications using NodeJSHands-on professional experience in managing state within React applications, utilizing tools such as Redux and Context API to handle complex state logic and ensure seamless data flow across componentsHands-on professional experience with automation test frameworks like Cucumber, Jest, Cypress and Storybook to write unit tests, component tests and contract tests.Hands-on professional experience with modern CSS techniques and frameworksExperience with performance testing browser based applications.Strong knowledge and experience with build pipelines, such as Jenkins, etc.Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with Micro-front end architecturePrevious experience working in banking or financial services AWS certification, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in cloud computing services
