Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceStrong technical skills and hands-on experience are essential.Experience in test automation and continuous integration and delivery practices.Experience with microservices-based, highly scalable systems.Strong understanding of principles for creating asynchronous and multithreaded systems.Experience in creating highly scalable, reliable, and robust systems available 24/7.Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development experience on large/medium-sized projects.Strong fundamentals in Core Java and related technologies.Enterprise-scale messaging experience in JMS or derived JMS technologies.Experience in distributed messaging technology like Kafka, IBM MQ, etc.Experience in database design, working knowledge of Oracle, AWS cloud and Kubernetes..

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.Banking domain knowledge with a preference for payment systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience leading technical development teams for project delivery.Culturally sensitive in a role that spans regions and time zones.
