As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team, you will be an experienced member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.

Job responsibilities

 

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceExperience with a sound foundation of best practices of application design, implementation and architecture disciplinesStrong in Java/J2EE, Python, Reactive programming (Spring webflux) technologies and well versed in design patterns.Experience on working with JDK 1.8+, Maven and GIT\BitBucketStrong experience in the Spring ecosystem to build best in class event driven micro services platforms using Spring webflux.Hands on experience with CI/CD tools like JenkinsExperience in developing RESTful API’s, AWS\PCF cloud..Experience in working with event based system like Kafka.Strong understanding of architecture and design of large enterprise systemsProficient in coding in one or more languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

Familiarity with modern front-end technologiesExposure to cloud technologiesExperience on working in reactive programming using Spring webflux is a strong plus.Working experience of Python, PySpark is a strong plus.
