As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the JPMorgan Wealth Management line of business, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesMaintain documentation on issues, corrective actions in-line with best practice to ensure knowledge accessibility and continuous learning within teamLook to proactively develop operate knowledge and skills by sharing experiences and attending relevant trainingProactively improve support services by building upon best practice and toolsAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.Hands-on experience with applied Generative AI solutions and Large Language Models (LLMs), such as OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Meta Llama, or Anthropic Claude.Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and deploy Gen AI-powered applications (e.g., chatbots, virtual assistants, document summarization, intelligent search).Proficiency in Python and/or Java; experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Spring Core, MVC, Spring Boot, RDMS database, Relational, No SQL databases and Linux/UNIX.Hands-on experience on Eclipse/IntelliJ, JUnits, Maven, BitBucket/GIT, and JIRA Knowledge on Cloud, CI/CD (Jenkins/Sonar), Test Automation (TDD/BDD) experience, exposure to web services (Rest/Soap), concepts and implementationAmazon Web Services experience on serverless architecture, building restful web applications.Good Problem Solving & Analytical skill, Ability to take ownership of business-critical and complex applicationsProven track record of delivering complex technology solutions in an agile environment.Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and skills with high level design, detail technical design and deliver optimal solutions with high quality. Awareness of industry standard SDLC processes for quality management. Knowledge of software estimation techniques.Ability to work effectively with teams/people in a diverse culturePreferred qualifications,capabilities and skills
Familiarity and experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel) and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance standards.Experience in big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, or Snowflake, as well as implementing real-time messaging solutions with tools like Kafka or AWS Kinesis.Exposure to UI frameworks like Angular V2/V4 or React Banking Finance Service and Insurance domain experience preferred.
