As a Software Engineer III-Full Stack/Cloud Foundation Services at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology's Research, Development, and Innovation team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Conduct hands-on research to explore new technologies and develop innovative solutions for Research, Development, and Innovation initiativesCreate and refine prototypes and pilot programs to demonstrate and validate the potential of new technologies, rapidly iterating to enhance functionality and performanceDesign and develop high-quality technology solutions tailored to the needs of incubator or innovation programs, leveraging expertise in distributed and cloud-native systems to build robust, scalable platformsDocument technical specifications, designs, and best practices, and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesCollaborate with peers, technology leaders, engineers, and architects, actively participating in major technical decisions and developing well-considered technical proposalsApply proven innovation frameworks to guide technology development, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend optimal solutions for future state architecture

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experienceStrong understanding of cloud computing technologies and platforms, including microservices, containers, IaaS, storage, security, and identityDemonstrable skills in rapid prototyping and methods to shorten development cycles for platforms, software, and AI/ML productsExperience in any one of the IaC - Terraform, Cloud formation or Azure resource manager,Experience in anyone of the languages - Python/Java/Golang, DevOps (CI/CD, Agentic Development), Container Orchestration (EKS, ECS), Serverless technologies, databases (RDBMS, NO-SQL), Cloud Monitoring toolsExperience in understanding of LLM, Agentic AI, A2A, MCP and othersExcellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiencesPassion for technology and innovation, CAN-DO attitude with a commitment to driving positive change within the organization

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience in Pulumi, OpenTofu and any other IaC platformsRelevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, TFE Associate Certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Google Developer Certification, Azure Developer Certification or similarUnderstanding of financial services industry trends, open source in finance, regulatory requirements, and the competitive landscape.
