As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within  Commercial & Investment Bank Trust and Safety team , you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

 You play a key role in system design, API development, and cloud integration. Together, we create technology that matters.

Job responsibilities

Develop backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and GraphQLApply reactive programming principles in Spring Boot for scalable solutionsDesign and implement APIs, including RESTful and GraphQL interfacesBuild and deploy cloud-native applications on AWSManage containerized workloads using AWS ECS and EKSIntegrate caching solutions with ElastiCache (Redis and Memcached)Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality softwareContribute to system design and architecture decisionsImplement microservices architecture for scalable solutionsApply DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerizationTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Strong proficiency with backend frameworks, including Java and Spring BootHands-on experience with GraphQL and reactive programming in Spring BootDemonstrated expertise with AWS services, including ECS, EKS, and ElastiCache (Redis and Memcached)Experience with APIs (RESTful, GraphQL) and microservices architectureHands-on experience developing and maintaining Apache Flink applications for stream processingUnderstanding of fundamental system design concepts to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable softwareFamiliarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS)Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Expertise in one of the front-end frameworks or libraries, such as ReactGood to have hands-on experience with Apache FlinkKnowledge of monitoring and logging toolsExposure to security best practices in cloud environmentsFamiliarity with agile development methodologies
