As a Software Engineer III at JP Morgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you will design and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will contribute to critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas, supporting the firm’s business objectives and team culture.

Job responsibilities

Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelop, test, and debug automated tasks for applications, systems, and infrastructureTroubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate post-mortems, and fix production defectsWork with development teams throughout the software life cycle to ensure sustainable software releasesPerform analytics on incidents and usage patterns to predict issues and take proactive actionsBuild and drive adoption of self-healing and resiliency patternsLead and participate in performance tests to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceStrong development skills in Java or PythonExperience with the Spring framework, including Spring Boot and microservice architectureExperience with data storage solutions such as SQL, NoSQL databases, data lakes, Databricks, and S3Experience managing applications in AWS and Kubernetes environmentsFamiliarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Kibana, Splunk, Elastic Search, Dynatrace, Grafana, CloudWatch, and DatadogExperience with CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker
