Software Engineer III - Active Directory Development

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the CTO – Active Directory Development team, you will play a key role as a seasoned member of an agile team, focusing on designing and delivering cutting-edge technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your responsibilities include implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's strategic goals.

Job responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyses, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on Software engineering concepts and proficient applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExperience with Python and, ideally, frameworks such as Django/FAST API/Flask and experience in building, deploying and supporting restful web API integrations Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleAn understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)A mindset of ongoing learning, demonstrating self-driven knowledge acquisition of new technologies and solutions

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Familiarity with IAM concepts and authentication methodsA background in technology infrastructure management, Automation (Ansible, Puppet, Saltstack) and scripting (Bash, Powershell etc.)A general working knowledge of infrastructure technologies, interconnecting them to provide novel solutions for the deployment of resilient, scalable applications
