As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investments Bank Payments Engineering team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge software solutions that address the evolving needs of the financial industry, pushing the boundaries of technology.Collaborate with architects and other engineers to design robust, scalable, and secure payment systems that meet both current and future demands.Ensure that all software solutions adhere to complex regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver integrated and seamless payment solutions.Contribute to the development of payment solutions that empower businesses and individuals worldwide, facilitating efficient and reliable money movement across borders.Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies, adding to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Extensive experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go, with a strong understanding of software development principles.Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.Some experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
