As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Technology Division, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Job responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentDesigns and implements scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS infrastructure solutions.Develops and maintains infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.Monitors and optimizes the performance, availability, and scalability of AWS infrastructure.Implements and manages security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.Automates infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.Identifies opportunities for cost optimization and implement strategies to reduce AWS spending.Develops and maintain scripts and tools to enhance operational efficiency.Stays up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.Expertise in using monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace and creating dashboards and alerts using these.Strong technology generalist with experience building and supporting high performance and resilient applications used within a high performance/real time environment and with experience working in a team with strong software development process (build, test, deploy). Must also excel in event-driven architectures.Good knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.Experience in test automation, GIT, Jira, Confluence.Experience in using Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions).

Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle, strong analytical development skills and solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Good understanding of Infrastructure automation and DevOps processes.Experience in Cloud native engineering and in any one of the Cloud platforms.
