Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs focused on physical synthesis and simulation
Conduct literature reviews to investigate and implement new methodologies in finite element simulations
Collaborate closely with product engineers’ teams to deliver robust engineering solutions and customer-centric workarounds
Drive continuous improvements in simulation accuracy, computational performance, and software robustness
Qualifications you need to have:
PhD or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, with a focus on the design of linear and nonlinear finite elements, including:
Geometric nonlinearities (large deformations and rotations)
Material nonlinearities
Contact modeling
Strong expertise in numerical methods for solving large-scale systems, including:
Symmetric eigenvalue analysis
Linear frequency and transient response analysis
Implicit nonlinear static and transient response analysis
Proficiency in C/C++ programming and software development
Solid foundation in vector, differential, and integral calculus
Qualifications that will be considered:
Familiarity with methods for solving systems of linear and nonlinear algebraic equations.
Experience in:
Multithreaded programming
MPI (Message Passing Interface) programming
GPU programming
Efficient use of the C++ Standard Template Library (STL)
Understanding of:
Code complexity measurement techniques (e.g., Big-O notation)
Code quality assessment techniques (e.g., profiling, tracing)
Disk management (e.g., read/write operations, memory-mapped files)
Memory management (heap and stack usage)
Compilation processes (e.g., compiling, linking, static/dynamic libraries)
Debugging techniques
Dynamic programming methodologies
Strong grasp of software quality assurance practices
