As a Software Engineer II at JP Morgan Chase within the Corporate Technology Team, you design and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You work as an emerging member of an agile team, gaining valuable experience while supporting the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting for technology products and systemsWrites secure and high-quality code using at least one programming languageDesigns, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systemsImplements and manages AWS infrastructure to support scalable and reliable applicationsMonitors system performance and troubleshoots issues using observability toolsGathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to drive secure, stable application development

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExperience with AWS infrastructure and servicesExperience in DevOps roles focused on infrastructure upgrades, cost analysis, and real-time monitoringProficient in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, or TerraformExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or BashExposure to cloud technologiesExposure to relational databases, preferably Oracle, and understanding of SQL/PL-SQL code
