As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the CTO Office, Identity & Access Management, you will be part of an agile team focused on enhancing, designing, and delivering the software components of the firm's advanced technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. In this role, you will contribute as an emerging member of the software engineering team by executing software solutions through designing, developing, and technically troubleshooting various components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed for career advancement.

Job responsibilities

Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshootingWrites secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidanceDesigns, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implicationsApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automationApplies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexityGathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application developmentLearns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systemsAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines2+ years of experience in Software development and EngineeringDemonstrable ability to code in one or more languages like Python & JavascriptStrong Python and django experience or equivalentHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesDemonstrable ability to code in one or more languagesExperience across the whole Software Development Life CycleExposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityEmerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience in developing software using Python, django/DRFFamiliarity with modern front-end technologies like ReactJS, NextJSExposure to HAproxy, Grafana, Prometheus, and Kubernets
