Position Summary:

The candidate must be highly motivated with a track record of success in a global financial environment, and strong experience in application development and quality assurance testing. Exceptional analysis and troubleshooting skills focusing on environment availability, production stability, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Preference will be given to those with Python experience.

Essential Skill Requirements:

Experience using PythonExperience in Quality Assurance testing and batch processingWorking in a global team environment and managing the workload for the global teamStrong team player with excellent communication skills, excellent problem solving, and analytical skills in a high-pressure environmentSolid knowledge of contemporary development processes, build environments, and testing toolsProven record with driving continuous improvements in processes and toolingExperience in 3rd line production supportKnowledge or experience of agile development (e.g. XP, SCRUM, Kanban) and continuous integrationComfortable in communicating with technology and business users

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of experience working with front office trading platform development teams, especially with global teamsExperience with Python data analysis packages and performance tuningExceptional development knowledge in Python on Linux/UNIX, with a strong understanding of Messaging Middleware concepts, usage, and application

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in a financial industry environmentDegree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or relevant analytical experience
