The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineer - Hardware/Software Integration (Associate, Experienced, or Senior) to support our Space Launch System (SLS) Hardware Software Integration (HSI) team located in Huntsville, Alabama. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. 

Space Launch System Hardware Software Integration represents a team of program unifying Engineers whose primary goal is to bring Software and Avionics Hardware together within a highly complex system. Through tool development, data management, and integration testing the successful candidate will provide central software development support to the overall HSI team.

Position Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards

Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products

Develops, maintains, enhances and optimizes software products and functionalities for systems integrations

Develops, documents and maintains architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products

Debugs and resolves issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products

Handles user inquiries, troubleshoots technical issues and user feedback analysis

Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

2+ years of experience designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C# and/or Java

2+ years of experience in software development and configuration management (CM) tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

1+ years of experience with setting up and maintaining a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline

1+ years of experience working with agile principles and frameworks

1+ years of experience do you have performing software integration, test, validation, and verification

Knowledge of the implementation of software test frameworks, tools, or simulations

Travel: 

Less than 10%

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Associate Level: $86,700 - $117,300

Summary Pay Range for Experienced Level: $107,100 - $144,900

Summary Pay Range for Senior Level: $127,500 - $172,500
