Here’s just some of what you’ll be doing: + Designing and building a new application to support the infrastructure build and application migrations to our new data center. You will be utilizing the latest technology tools and practice, you may be writing code and test cases, working with API specs and automation to maintain the resiliency, performance and availability of a group of applications + Identifying opportunities for adopting new technologies + Removing toil and continue to drive efficiencies and optimization + Creating dashboards leveraging splunk, Grafana and kibana + Reviews current issues and works with Engineering team to get code fixed and deployed. + Designs, codes, tests, maintains, and documents applications + Build apps that meet compliance and audit requirements that are required for the financial services industry. + Participates in reviews of own work and reviews of colleagues' work + Defines test conditions based on the requirements and specifications provided **Minimum Qualifications** + Recognizes opportunities to adopt innovative technologies to enable business capabilities + Keeps up to date on current research and technology in the industryRecognizes the importance of collaboration to achieve objectives + Clearly communicates ideas and concepts to others + Leads work effectively and acts on own initiative without being prompted + Provides feedback to team members in code reviews + Is curious, drives creative change & continuous improvements + Explores new automation techniques to refine the agility, speed and quality of engineering initiatives and efforts + Balances feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives + Ability to prioritize work and competing demands + Ability to bring other along with you + Knowledge of frameworks and tools in the respective language enabling effective and efficient development + Understanding and interest in architectural patterns for highly available, scalable, low-latency, asynchronous systems (for example, well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms) + Knowledge of the advantages and challenges associated with the implementation of micro-services architecture + Incident management system knowledge (service now) + Basic UNIX knowledge and any programming language (preferably java, go lang or UI stack) + Familiar with Agile or other rapid application development methods + Experience with design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate + Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases + A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks. + Able to understand and use complex data structures and associated components + Basic knowledge of infrastructure technologies and components + Ability to speak clearly and with intent + Ability to navigate and lead the team through high-priority requests; Works well under high-pressure timelines +  Resourceful, has grit, and a positive “can do” attitude; acts without being told what to do **Desired Skills** + CSS experience (headwind CSS, Bootstrap, etc. + Node.JS experience + Strong experience working in any of the following backend languages: Java, Kotlin, C#, Scala + Experience in Source control using tools such as Git with DevOps and IT automation concepts. + Bonus Experience: Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required. + Two or more years of relevant industry experience **Qualifications** Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
