Job Description

Hiring an experienced OpenText Exstream Developer (including Dialogue, Empower Editor, Design Manager and OpenText Cloud) to lead enterprise customer communications management solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in OpenText Exstream (9.x to 23.x), system integrations, and modern document collaboration platforms.

The Application Developer Sr Consultant I develops code for complex modules, participates in design reviews, conducts code reviews, and resolves moderate defects. The Sr Consultant II designs, documents, reviews, and maintains components of software solutions for complex projects. Under limited supervision, the Sr. Consultant I works closely with business partners to identify needs and design technology solutions to overcome process bottlenecks, reduce use of contingent claim resources, reduce compliance risks, or generally increase operational efficiency.

Good understanding of document lifecycle, template design, and outputs. Experience with batch and on-demand processing. Knowledge of other scripting language is a plus.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance OpenText Exstream applications for document generation.

Design and implement templates, business rules, and output workflows to generate various customer communications (PDF, print, email, SMS) both on-premise and cloud modules

Optimize composition logic and performance for high-volume document generation.

Automate repetitive tasks like template updates, testing, and deployment.

Evaluate and implement new Exstream features to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation in document generation.

Implement multichannel delivery (print, email, web, and mobile).

Troubleshoot and resolve composition and rendering issues.

Upgrade and migrate OpenText Exstream versions as needed.

Executes change management activities supporting production deployment to Developers, Quality Control Analysts, and Environment Management personnel

Identifies support issues and initiate action to resolve the problem and provides technical assistance to resolve complex issues.

Participate in  architectural design and strategy for OpenText CCM solutions enterprise-wide.

Design integration architectures connecting Exstream Server with external systems via REST, SOAP, message queues.

Develop secure, scalable applications, APIs, workflows, and automation.

Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and technical assessments.

Provide mentorship to development teams and collaborate with stakeholders.

Coordinate with infrastructure teams for deployment and operations.

Required Technical Skills:

4 to 6 years of experience in OpenText Exstream (9.x to 23.x) development and implementation projects.

Should have good understanding of APIs, Java and Javascript

Experience with enterprise integration patterns, API gateways, message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka).

Knowledge of microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) will be an additional advantage.

Knowledge in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.

Design and develop forms using the OpenText Ex stream product for high-volume, on-demand applications based on specifications.

Should have strong knowledge in Data Mapping, Page Design, Output Queues, Flow Tables, and PDF-Pass through, Dialogue application packaging.

Experience in the configuration and customization of Ex stream objects at multiple levels, like messages, tables, and frames.

Experience in print and assembly rules, bar codes, including adding variable data tags.

Experience in data processing and post-composition processing of documents using Exstream.

Experienced with Input formats like JSON, XML, CSV, reference files and output formats like PDF, AFP, Archive, EMAIL, HTML, EMPOWER

Experienced in working on search key, placeholder, tag sets, design layer, language layer, campaigns and messages etc.

Experience in data-processing and post-composition processing of documents using OpenText Exstream.

Should have worked with formula variables, rules, functions, document, and page triggering rules.

Coding and implementation support of printing, report preparation, and generation using OpenText Exstream.

Experience working with XML files, various data files, and Report creation.

Working knowledge of print streams like DLF, Empower, AFP, and PostScript.

Solid design, coding, testing, and debugging skills.

Experience in Unix Scripting.

Basic Java knowledge.

Experience with the Exstream version upgrade is beneficial.

Experience in the Insurance domain is good to have.
