Software Engineer
**Overview** We are the Microsoft 365 Customer Experience team within the Growth + Experience division at Microsoft. We span the whole customer spectrum, from Enterprise IT Admins to the EDU and Small Business, through to the end user. We are a central player in partnership with other teams in the E&D Experiences and Growth organization in providing customer communication solutions that enable our enterprise customers to be “in the know” when it comes to the good - the latest features, as well as the issues that may affect their ability to get their work done effectively and efficiently. We work closely with the Amplify team on the Office Enterprise Admin Center and create the Message Center and Service Health Dashboard. Our features are used every day by Enterprise IT Admins across the world. Our Strategic Pillars: Our Change Management ecosystem is quickly growing with the aim of building customer trust in Microsoft’s ability to bring them new value with no business disruption. Our vision is to transform E&D into a Predictable Engineering organization that provides every customer with the information they need to know when our major features and changes will land on their tenant, empowering them to act and prepare. Our Service Health Communications solution provides the one-stop-shop for data and insights on the service issues and outages affecting their users. We provide a Timely, Targeted and Actionable Issue and Advisory landscape that enables IT Admins to communicate effectively to their users and act to mitigate Tenant impact. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + In this role you will work with peers and across disciplines, in close partnership with Program Management and Design, to create, implement, and roll-out features in a full-stack development model, which we build using the latest tech: React, Azure, AzureSQL, DocumentDB, COSMOSDB, ADO, Git, and the core web dev stack - C#, JavaScript and Typescript, HTML/CSS, etc.  Our code ties into engineering systems across Microsoft. + We are looking for a developer who is passionate about working in services and experiences.    + A solid passion for learning and able to work in fast pace agile delivery environment while maintaining high code quality.   + You should have experience working across the entire service engineering lifecycle from inception through successful release to customers and will have the opportunity to work closely with various engineering teams across Microsoft to help shape the future of how we release Office to millions of customers on multiple platforms. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python  + OR equivalent experience.  + OR related technical discipline with 2+ years of hands-on development experience with Web Application Frameworks - AngularJS, React, or equivalent, writing in C#, Javascript, TypeScript, AzureSQL/NoSQL DBs + OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience. + Customer obsession is a must. + Solid experience, ability, and willingness to work collaboratively and independently with others on the implementation of large, distributed systems. + Proven ability to design and develop loosely coupled, componentized, and unit-tested software. + Demonstrated software validation and automated monitoring skills. + Knowledge of telemetry systems is a plus. + DevOps experience, supporting on call and maintaining production systems + Demonstrated success in executing against a software development schedule \#G+E, #DPG Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
