Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer with AWS Development Experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting key initiatives to defend against emerging threats in the cybersecurity domain. You will collaborate with a team of experts to develop and tailor cutting-edge capabilities designed to protect and secure critical U.S. systems.

What You'll Be Doing:Software Development: Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex and diverse software systems. Provide oversight to software peers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to requirements and constraints.Systems Design: Collaborate with extended teams to define and design systems that meet information protection needs, while continuously assessing their effectiveness against emerging threats.Requirements Gathering: Partner with mission customers and Systems Engineers to derive software requirements, address project limitations, and define system capabilities, performance needs, and interfaces.Interface Creation: Develop intuitive software interfaces and dashboards to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.Process Improvement: Implement recommendations to improve documentation and software development standards, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.Technology Innovation: Research and recommend new technologies and processes to enhance complex software projects and drive innovation.Agile Collaboration: Actively contribute to agile scrum cycles, including design sessions, peer reviews, testing, and documentation support.What Required Skills You'll Bring:Must have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.7 to 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer with deep understanding of high performance ingest and data transformation.3+ years of hands-on AWS experience in a production environment, not limited to development-only usage.Demonstrated experience administering AWS environments, including:VPC design (subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, security groups, NACLs)IAM roles, policies, least-privilege access models, and cross-account accessAWS networking concepts (private/public routing, ALB/NLB, Route 53)Experience deploying and operating applications using AWS managed services (ECS, Fargate, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3)Experience migrating workloads from containerized or on-prem environments to AWSProficiency with Linux OS,  Python, SQL and relational databases, JavaScript, Elastic Search, Dagster, Docker.Experience working within an IC Agency mission environment using tools and capabilities to generate threat intelligence.  This includes working with analyst teams to perform data analysis.Experience implementing best practices for knowledge management and applying techniques to create automated solutions in support of the IC mission.Experience with Agile methodologiesU.S. CitizenshipActive TS/SCI security clearance with polygraphWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:Adaptability: Strong ability to learn and adopt new technologies and skills through independent study, professional training, and team collaboration.Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with technical team members, managers, and customers.Automation: Proficiency in automating workflows and processes using scripts and tools.Cybersecurity Knowledge: Familiarity with best practices in cybersecurity, particularly as they apply to mission-critical systems.Why Join Parsons?

Security Clearance Requirement:

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00
