Software Engineer

Software Test Engineer (Level 2/3) responsible for developing automated test scripts and executing safety-critical software qualification testing in a Linux environment.

Job Requirements:

5+ years of Python scripting experience

5+ years of software development experience in Linux environments (SUSE or RedHat)

5+ years of functional test case development experience

2+ years of experience authoring software requirements

2+ years of experience with GitLab pipelines

2+ years of experience using Jira to track and manage software development work

2+ years of experience working in Agile software development environments

Preferred Skills:

Experience with safety-critical qualification testing

Experience creating test scripts in SWAT or other proprietary test scripting languages

Experience contributing to test automation of existing manual test cases

Experience creating or updating automation pipelines in CI/CD environments

Experience creating or updating Confluence dashboards driven by GitLab or similar data sources

Job Responsibilities:

Review functional requirements and determine “Happy Path” and “Corner Case” scenarios to fully exercise requirements

Create software test scripts in Python or SWAT to conduct safety-critical qualification testing

Perform Software Quality Testing (SQT) onsite in lab environments

Create Software Test Reports and host reviews with internal and external customers

Work with development teams to diagnose issues and update test scripts for software defects

Contribute to test automation efforts by automating existing manual test cases

Create and update automation pipelines to support continuous testing and integration

Create and update Confluence dashboards based on GitLab data for test and status reporting

Flex and adapt work schedule during formal test periods based on test station availability



Pay Details: $70.00 to $85.00 per hour
