Software Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer in the Warren, Michigan area. The Software Engineer will be joining an advanced robotics team focused on developing safe, scalable, and production-ready motion algorithms for robotic manipulators. This role will be helping the team accomplish their mission of integrating cutting-edge robotics into industrial environments, enabling intelligent and efficient automation across our manufacturing operations. Compensation: $38/hr to $40/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in ROS 2 and motion planning libraries (e.g., OMPL, MoveIt2). • Solid understanding of kinematics, trajectory optimization, and collision avoidance. • 3-5 years of experience with robotic manipulators in industrial or research settings. • Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset. • Experience with multi-axis robotic systems or mobile manipulators. • Familiarity with real-time systems and safety-critical software development. • Contributions to open-source robotics projects or publications in motion planning.
