Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer in the Warren, Michigan area. The Software Engineer will be joining an advanced robotics team focused on developing safe, scalable, and production-ready motion algorithms for robotic manipulators. This role will be helping the team accomplish their mission of integrating cutting-edge robotics into industrial environments, enabling intelligent and efficient automation across our manufacturing operations. Compensation: $38/hr to $40/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in ROS 2 and motion planning libraries (e.g., OMPL, MoveIt2). • Solid understanding of kinematics, trajectory optimization, and collision avoidance. • 3-5 years of experience with robotic manipulators in industrial or research settings. • Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset. • Experience with multi-axis robotic systems or mobile manipulators. • Familiarity with real-time systems and safety-critical software development. • Contributions to open-source robotics projects or publications in motion planning.
