Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesJoin us as a Software Engineer at our Centre of Excellence for X-Ray equipment, based in Royston. You'll take the lead in delivering powerful, high-quality software that drives innovation across a dynamic range of products, from engaging customer-facing applications to cutting-edge embedded firmware and essential production and R&D tools.
You'll be at the heart of the entire software development lifecycle, working hand-in-hand with talented global teams to create solutions that not only meet technical excellence but also drive real business impact.
What You'll DoLead and support timely delivery of software projects, ensuring high quality and performanceConvert product specs into effective software solutions and verify they meet requirementsEstablish and improve coding standards, development methods, and processesMaintain and support the Safeline X-Ray product line, including application software, diagnostic tools, production data tools, and embedded firmwareCollaborate with remote teams and field staff to create custom software solutionsMentor development and testing teams to encourage best practicesCommunicate with Sales, Service, Quality, and Production teams to gather requirements and share field insightsIdentify opportunities for improvement based on field feedback and emerging technologiesWhat You Need to SucceedBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplineStrong hands-on experience with C++, C#, .NET in a production environmentExperience with Azure DevOps and working in an Agile / Scrum environmentHighly motivated, proactive, and able to work independentlyStrong team player and motivator; able to foster a positive and high-performing cultureStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to root-cause complex issuesOur Offer to YouCompetitive salaryEmployee bonus planHybrid workingFree onsite parkingCareer progression and development opportunities 25 days holiday plus bank holidays4x salary Life AssuranceAccess to 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme to support mental health and wellbeing.About Mettler ToledoMETTLER TOLEDO is a global leader in precision instruments and services.
