Located just outside of Oslo, our Devices innovation center is home to 300+ passionate engineers working across hardware, software, mechanics, audio, media processing and artificial intelligence - from concept to product. We strive to create best-in-class video conferencing experiences by bringing together diverse engineering disciplines under one roof.

One of the engineering teams located in the Devices innovation center is the “Join Any Meeting” team, who are now looking for a software engineer to join the team. We are responsible for making sure Cisco devices can join any meeting regardless of platform the meeting is hosted on. You will be part of a software team, but also work closely with designers, product management and other engineering teams within and outside of Cisco to improve our products.

Your Impact

You are a software engineer that loves working in all parts of the software stack, ranging from low level development at the Linux level to making sure software is built with test automation in mind. You enjoy working as part of a team, contribute to our culture of learning from each other, but fully capable of taking ownership and working but can figure things out for yourself if needed.
You will:

Build features and maintain functionality by writing software in C++/Python/Rust Help integrate software from our meeting platform partners into our own software stackBuild software with quality and pay attention to details Help the team focus on continuous improvement, either it being related to a piece of code or internal processes

Minimum Qualifications

You hold a degree in computer science or equivalent Programming experience in C++ / Python or RustExperience working with Linux
Preferred QualificationsYou are a problem solver that likes learning new thingsExperience with embedded platforms and an interest for low level programmingExperience with Android development and ecosystem would be an advantage Good problem-solving, debugging and analytical skillsInterest in device security topicsGood collaboration and communication skillsTest focused attitude when writing software
