**About this role:**
Are you a Software Engineer passionate about designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge services using Generative AI models? Wells Fargo is seeking a **Software Engineer** to help build and deliver generative AI-driven applications for internal use.
At Wells Fargo, our talented team empowers developers to integrate advanced agentic AI capabilities into their applications. By leveraging the latest generative AI models, tools, and knowledge, we enable the rapid creation of customized, stateful AI applications grounded in enterprise data—capable of handling a wide array of tasks.
This role plays a pivotal part in safely designing and implementing solutions that utilize large language models (LLMs). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership experience, and a focus on delivering safe, accurate, and user-centric solutions in an enterprise environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
+ Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
+ Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
+ Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
+ Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
+ Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
+ Drive AI innovationby accelerating business use cases using frameworks like ADK and LangChain.
+ Collaborate across teamsto align with technical strategies and support application migrations and modernization efforts.
+ Ensure engineering excellenceby resolving tech roadblocks, conducting peer reviews, and influencing secure, scalable product roadmaps.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 6+ months of experience with cloud environments (Azure, GCP, OpenShift) and cloud-native development.
**Desired Qualifications**
+ Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and/or agentic workflows in generative AI applications.
+ Experience in the financial industry or familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements.
+ Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities.
+ Expertise in test-driven development methodologies.
+ Strong focus on end-user experience, delivering intuitive and valuable solutions.

**Pay Range**
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$37.02 - $69.71
