Software Engineer
Job Summary:
Software Engineer (Troy, MI, or other unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.). Responsibilities include: Developing software data driven models to speed up early detection and early resolutions of quality issues. Developing our next generation software algorithms for forecasting and prediction of warranty and field issues by fusion of multiple data sources and more sophisticated data driving models into new software applications. Designing software tools including automated data ingest, data management, statistics/models (API), and visualizations. Developing software tools and applications (Python/R & Power BI) to quickly grasp the voice of customer and do diagnostic analysis. Developing models, tools and forecasting algorithms for connected car data and share with design groups in North America R&D (Research & Development). Collaborating with Connected car and IT software development teams to ensure smooth integration of R&D tools, templates & dashboards with other enterprise tools (Q360). Utilizing and reviewing multiple software applications and data sources (Field Reports, Warranty, Parts Sales, Recovered Parts, Customer Relations, etc.) to identify source of product quality issues, promote one voice and promote quick counter-measure activity by Design, Plant &/or Supplier.
Education/Experience Required:
M.S. in Computer Science or closely related. Academic Program must have included: Machine Learning Model development and training; Advanced Statistical modeling; Convoluted Neural Networks, Deep Learning, Decision Networks; Artificial Intelligence; Web App and API development; Automotive Cybersecurity (Data based security); Python based statistical data analysis. Telecommuting permitted. 10% Domestic Travel. 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
