Software Engineer
Software Engineer Job Description: Joining Sage as a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Sage products to enable delivery of Sage’s business plans and long term objectives. This position will contribute to the development and delivery of high quality products and services that exceed customers’ expectations. *** This is a hybrid role - you will work 3 days a week from our Newcastle office. *** Key Responsibilities: • Develop, deliver, maintain and implement high quality technical solutions. • Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle. • Maintain relevant documentation to describe logic, coding/configuration, testing and changes where applicable. • Continuously strive to make improvements to the existing products and/or systems and services. • Seek out and act upon feedback. • Ensures all tasks are completed to the required quality standards. Keep up to date with relevant technology areas. Requirements: • Experience working with Ruby on Rails is a necessity. • Any background with Javascript would be advantageous for this role. • Cloud experience (ideally with AWS). • Hands-on expertise with NewRelic / Jira would be nice-to-have. • Ideally you will have worked with Git Version Control previously. • Have the ability to operate self-sufficiently. • Be collaborative, and have experience working cross-functionally. #LI-JM2 Function: Product Delivery Country: United Kingdom Office Location: Newcastle Work Place type: Hybrid Advert Working at Sage means you’re supporting millions of small and medium sized businesses globally with technology to work faster and smarter.
