Job Description
We are seeking a software engineer who has a passion for creating computer vision or AR/VR technologies to create a new situational awareness technology for military vehicles. This individual will collaborate with Ft Belvoir’s C5ISR (DEVCOM) Command to create innovative solutions using the latest in computer vision and AR/VR technologies.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement computer vision and AR/VR solutions for situational awareness in military vehicles.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and integrate new technologies.Conduct research and stay updated on the latest advancements in computer vision and AR/VR.Document development processes, code, and project updates.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.1+ years of experience programming in C++ and Python in a Linux environment.Experience creating computer vision technology, AR/VR, or Extended Reality technology using Nvidia Cuda.Eligibility for a US Secret Clearance.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong grasp of vehicle system architecture and integration.Familiarity with AI/ML techniques and applications.Experience with Open Source YOLO.Proficiency in GStreamer, FFMPEG, or VLC for video management.Understanding of GPS PPS, PTP, NTP, IEEE 1588 protocols.Hands-on experience with Ethernet switches, frame grabbers, ultra-high-speed camera systems.Familiarity with RTOS or FPGA-based systems.Work Environment
The facility is located in Sterling, VA, with a small office and lab. This role is primarily onsite with occasional work-from-home options. The suite is brand new, although the rest of the facility is outdated. The building houses several other medical offices. This position should be considered as primarily in-person.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
