What you’ll be doing + Engineering and support for critical edge traffic, API gateway and security systems + Architect and implement software, systems, and tooling- with a focus on building self-service platforms for internal teams + Measure and optimize performance and reliability for critical security systems and services + Write and contribute to project plans, author engineering level documentation, and develop detailed test plans + Communicate clearly and effectively with internal partner teams as well as vendors + Participate in an on-call rotation as needed More about you + Ideal candidate will have platform, development or SRE experience in a large-scale environment + Strong customer service focus coupled with a proven ability to positively interact with customers of all levels within the organization. + Organized, responsive and thorough problem solver + Exhibit a strong work ethic and a positive outlook + Independent and entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for continuous improvement + Focused on automation and streamlining solutions + Passionate about giving and receiving mentorship and inspiring others to succeed Qualifications: + BS in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent education and experience required + 5+ Years’ experience providing engineering and operations support of mission critical services + Proficiency with software development in a well-known language (e.g. Python, Go are a plus) + Demonstrates advanced knowledge of APIs and web related technologies (CDN, Reverse Proxies, Caching technologies such as Varnish and VCL a plus) and protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS) + Demonstrates knowledge in security systems including WAF and Bot Mitigation + Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure and config management/declarative configuration.
