Software Engineer, Information Technology Support
Role Description As a Software Engineer on Dropbox’s Information Technology Systems team, you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling foundational backend systems that support critical engineering initiatives. You’ll apply strong engineering fundamentals and modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices to drive execution, reduce technical debt, and accelerate project delivery. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your systems expertise while collaborating with seasoned engineers across Dropbox to solve complex, high-impact challenges. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain engineering solutions that drive innovation across Infrastructure and broader Dropbox teamsApply SDLC principles to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable systems from design through deploymentParticipate in code reviews and proactively address technical debt to improve long-term maintainability and velocityCollaborate with engineers, architects, TPMs, and cross-functional partners to define requirements and deliver on strategic initiativesPartner with senior and staff engineers to implement modern standards and best practices across critical systems On-call work may be necessary occasionally to help address bugs, outages, or other operational issues, with the goal of maintaining a stable and high-quality experience for our customers. Requirements 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, production-ready systemsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceStrong expertise in backend development, with a focus on building scalable, reliable, and maintainable architecturesDemonstrated success in developing and shipping large-scale applications or distributed systems, preferably in cloud-native environmentsFamiliarity with modern infrastructure practices, including containers, orchestration, and observability Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or GoPractical experience deploying and operating services in production on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure Compensation Dropbox applies increased tax deductible costs to remuneration earned by certain qualifying employees (to the extent an employee will be involved in the creation of the software as an “author”) for the transfer of copyrights, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act.Poland Pay Range256 700 zł—347 300 zł PLN The range listed above is the expected annual salary/OTE (On-Target Earnings) for this role, subject to change. Please note, OTE are for sales roles only.  Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
