We are unable to consider applicants with a Green Card, applicants currently on a work visa, or applicants who need work visa sponsorship now or in the future. **_** **Job Summary:** The Software Engineer, Development & Testing position plays a central role in the software development lifecycle by bridging the gap between software developers and the end user. Initial responsibilities will revolve around software testing and validation. As experience with the product increases, responsibilities will be expanded to include customer support. Successful candidates will be positive, work well both as a team and independently, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy playing a key role in delivering quality software which meets the needs of the end users. **Primary Duties & Responsibilities:** + Software development, testing and validation. + Design, maintain, and execute test plans. + Find and report bugs and other software deficiencies. + Work closely with the development team to improve existing products. + Provide phone, email, and remote technical support for customer base, partners, and colleagues. + Set up equipment as required for internal testing, external test events or support-related tasks. **Job Qualifications:** + Undergraduate degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science strongly preferred; or prior relevant experience. + Experience in software development and testing environments. + Experience with software development lifecycle, processes and best practices . + Software deployment and troubleshooting experience. + Excellent computer and networking skills. + Experience with control systems (security, surveillance, access control, SCADA) strongly preferred + Experience with security and surveillance hardware (cameras, radars, fence detection, video recording and analytics) strongly preferred + Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. + Work effectively in a dynamic environment where priorities shift frequently. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to be a team player with both internal and external members. + Proactive and self-motivated. + Ability to obtain US Secret Clearance strongly preferred. + Able and willing to travel approximately 30% domestic and international.
