Summary
Leads projects of all levels of complexity and collects and analyzes data from business units regarding potential new processes, procedures, and systems. Determines performance gaps and recommends training solutions. Designs and develops training using a variety of modalities such as e-learning activities, webinars, and instructor-led training. Leads curriculum management and audits existing content on an ongoing basis to ensure courses are current, effective, and meet business needs. Maintains the MST training environment keeping content up-to-date with upgrades and changes within the production system. Works directly with IS analyst to ensure content is accurate and current within all training environments.
Job DutiesDesigns centralized software orientation training for all levels of personnel using the electronic health record. Uses clinical, financial, and clerical applications. Manages the complex electronic medical records software to create a comprehensive computer training environment. Participates in analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of software education programs for all levels and roles of personnel. Takes ownership of assigned projects and manages the development process from beginning to end. Utilizes the elements of formal project management and the ADDIE design model to develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs. Builds training scenarios for use by the network and trainers. Evaluates, plans, and executes thorough complete test scenarios of workflows using standard tools, software, and protocols. Creates design documents showing the performance objectives, suggested sequence, and presentation of course content, timeframes, and customer touchpoints. Secures buy-in and approval from training sponsors. Develops thorough and realistic work plans and estimates required resources and time frames for each project. Provides technical guidance and leadership to the system trainers in the areas of design, development, and process workflow. Ensures the instructional integrity of course development projects through systematic design and clear writing of scripts, narratives, and storyboards. Utilizes individual learner feedback to improve teaching techniques and content design and delivery.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in instructional design, computer science, education, or nursing or Master’s Degree Must obtain masters degree within a designated timeframe as established with HR and management. Time frame not to exceed 5 years. 7 years of experience in learning needs assessment, curriculum design, or delivery or experience teaching/working in a healthcare setting. Ability to work effectively in a demanding and rapidly changing environment. Excellent analytical skills. Knowledge of the instructional design life cycle and application of formal development practices to training projects. EPIC - EPIC Certification - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
Preferred Qualifications Completes 6 weeks credentialed training program and demonstrates application proficiency and execution prior to receiving authorization to teach Epic curriculum. Completes EPIC certification in areas of responsibility within 1 year of start date (if multiple certifications are required a time frame will be established upon hire).
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
