Should also have experience with cloud native development via microservices, containerization and orchestration. · The successful candidate will have a passion for building high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. · The candidate will participate in requirements gathering, sprint planning, design and technical review to support overall achievement of business objectives. · The candidate will lead a high performance development team while also mentoring and helping recruit new team members. The candidate will also: · Participate in the design and implementation of sophisticated software systems front end and backend with a focus for efficiency on cloud and SaaS. · Participate in software design and code reviews. Reviews include other Software Engineers and are held to ensure a high level of software quality and to share knowledge with team members. · Participate in, and adhere to, professional software engineering practices using such tools and methodologies as Agile Software Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Source Code Management (git), and GitHub · Participate in the planning, creation and execution of automated test cases and load/performance testing · Maintain a high level of proficiency with Computer Science/Software Engineering knowledge and contribute to the technical skills growth of all team members · Participate in cross-functional meetings to quicky identify problems and help architect the best and most performant solutions. · Help interview and hire the best talent. Help retain the best talent. **Required technical and professional expertise** · 8+ years of Software Development experience in cloud/SaaS development · 2+ years of Software Development team leadership experience with assigning work, mentoring teams, driving projects and architecture. · 5+ years of in enterprise Java development · 5+ years of experience using NodeJS · 5+ years of experience microservices, Docker, Kubernetes or other cloud technologies · Familiarity with AI concepts such as NLP, NLQ, prompt tuning and machine learning · Familiarity with REST API concepts · Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation tools (CI/CD) · Experience with ES6/7, WebSockets, HTML 5, modular CSS, JSON · Experience writing end-to-end tests using frameworks like Intern, Selenium **Preferred technical and professional experience** · Experience in AI development such as integrating with LLMs, RAG, MCP · Cross-browser quirks and compatibility · Familiarity with multidimensional databases and OLAP concepts · Experience using build, deployment and development tools like Git, Travis, Jenkins, Yarn/NPM, Webpack/Gulp IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
