Job Duties: Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a manager of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture. May have direct reports. May telecommute. (385.17554)

 

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a software development-related occupation. Position requires:

Coding in C, Python and Shell Scripting; Troubleshooting and fixing Linux Kernel issues; Kernel programming; Operating system internals and system programming; Designing and developing OS components; Linux virtualization; Working on network technologies including RDMA, RoCE and InfiniBand; and O/S troubleshooting tools including CRASH and gdb.
