The Amazon Music User Primitives team is looking for a passionate, innovative, and results-oriented Software Development Manager to help us reimagine the user primitives and experiences for customers, unlocking new features and empowering customers to share their music with friends. As a Software Development Manager on the Amazon Music User Primitives team, you will be responsible for systems that power the library, playlist and queue experience for millions of customers. You will work with a team of high-caliber engineers to create new scalable systems to manage the diverse set of customer features. Through experimentation, you and your team will solve for an optimally engaging music experience by delivering content seamlessly and help customers interact with their playlists in easy and intuitive ways. Key job responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance, support, and coaching to help them grow both personally and professionally. Roadmap Management: Plan, coordinate, and prioritize software development projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, quality assurance, and design to define requirements, review designs, and ensure alignment on project goals. Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, including architecture design reviews, and resolving technical challenges. Process Improvement: Continuously improve team processes and practices to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity. Stakeholder Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market.
