Job Description
What you’ll do
Design and develop end-to-end test automation for customer scenarios across Guidewire’s SaaS analytics and microservices solutions.Build and maintain automation frameworks and tools to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Create dashboards to track and communicate product quality metrics.Spend over 90% of your time hands-on with automation, driving efficiency and reliability.Test and automate distributed systems, focusing on scalability, availability, and data security.Develop and execute test strategies for microservices, ensuring high standards of durability, reliability, and fault-tolerance.Leverage and develop AI agents to enhance testing coverage and analysis.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed GenAI and automation into daily operations and product offerings.At Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI—empowering our teams to continuously leverage emerging technologies and data-driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.What you’ll bring
Required
Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development or test automation.Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages.Experience with serialization frameworks such as Avro or Parquet.Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts (consistency, availability, durability, reliability, fault-tolerance, consensus algorithms).Expertise in REST API testing and automation, preferably using Karate or Cucumber.Proficiency with UI automation tools (Selenium WebDriver, TestCafe, Playwright).Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).Analytical mindset with a strong bias toward automation and continuous improvement.Eagerness to learn new technologies and a passion for innovation.Preferred
Practical experience developing or leveraging GenAI and AI agents for testing.Experience in building dashboards and reporting tools for quality metrics.Your Impact
