Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer on the Circularity – Circular Demand team, you will be instrumental in developing scalable, customer-facing features that integrate seamlessly into core Amazon experiences, including Search and Product Detail Pages. You will manage the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and support. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, product managers, legal partners, and other tech teams.
Working within a diverse, high-performing team based in Paris, you will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and elevate engineering excellence. Your contributions will directly support our long-term roadmap, which includes integrating AI models developed by our Applied Scientist to identify circular product selection, making Amazon’s demand generation systems more "circularity-aware" to improve discoverability and personalization, simplifying the evaluation and comparison of durable products, and amplifying post-purchase services to help customers maximize the lifespan of their purchases.

Comprised of Software Development Engineers and an Applied Scientist, we focus on creating impactful, customer-facing features across Amazon’s shopping journey. Our work, driven by customer feedback and in line with emerging EU sustainability regulations, positions you to influence both customer experience and industry standards for the future.
