Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Position Description: Offshore SDET / Automation Lead with 8+ years of experience in test automation and software development, responsible for designing, building, and enhancing scalable automation frameworks. The role involves tool evaluation, proof-of-concept development, cross-platform automation (Web, API, Desktop, Mobile), and driving quality engineering best practices. The candidate will also mentor teams, conduct technical demos and trainings, and enable seamless integrations across tools and platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop automation frameworks from scratch and enhance existing frameworks.
• Implement new features and optimize framework scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Perform Proof of Concepts (POCs) and evaluate automation tools and technologies.
• Execute automation across Web, API, Desktop, and Mobile platforms using industry-standard tools.
• Enable integrations between multiple systems using APIs and reverse proxy mechanisms.
• Administer automation tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Conduct technical demos, knowledge-sharing sessions, and trainings.
• Prepare technical documentation, presentations, and reports.
• Rapidly learn and adopt emerging technologies and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to QE standards and automation governance.
Must-Have Skills:
• 8+ years of experience in test automation and/or software development.
• Strong expertise in designing automation frameworks from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, RestAssured, Cucumber, Tricentis Tosca, Appium.
• Advanced Java programming skills (OOP, Design Patterns, Collections).
• Experience with API automation and service-level testing.
• Exposure to Desktop and Mobile automation.
• Working knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python or C#.NET.
• Experience with API integrations and reverse proxy configurations.
• Tools administration experience.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder interaction skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Good-to-Have Skills:
• Hands-on experience implementing AI solutions in the Quality Engineering space.
• Experience enabling Quality Metrics reporting tools (e.g., Gathr).
• Experience working with SaaS Grid platforms such as HyperExecute.
• Experience driving automation innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
