Your will collaborate with our team of developers, designers, and product managers to deliver outstanding mobile experiences in the Smart Home space. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build large-scale distributed systems powering Alexa Smart Home - Collaborate with world-class engineers across Alexa and Amazon to define, design, and ship new features. - Contribute to Amazon's strategic growth initiatives for the coming years - Work on challenging projects that directly impact millions of customers globally - Lead technical decision-making and mentor fellow engineers - Gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies & cloud features powered by AWS - Work across multiple disciplines (backend, frontend, DevOps) Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - 2+ years of building production software experience - 3+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - 2+ years of Apple platform development experience - 1+ years of Android development experience Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
